How to Make Cheesy Broccoli Rice Casserole

Cheesy broccoli rice casserole is a classic comfort food that is perfect for a family dinner. It is made with cooked rice, broccoli, cheese, and a creamy sauce. Ingredients:


1 cup uncooked rice

1 cup water

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 clove garlic, minced

1 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli, thawed and drained

1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a medium saucepan, bring rice and water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked through.

In a large skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter over medium heat until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add broccoli and cook for 2 minutes more.

In a medium bowl, combine cooked rice, broccoli mixture, cheese soup, milk, cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.
